Sourdough Discard Snickerdoodles

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Cinnamon coating: 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Cream sugar and butter in or with a mixer. Add egg + yolk and sourdough discard. 

Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.

Add dry ingredients to wet. Roll dough into 2 inch balls and coat with cinnamon sugar mix.

Bake for 9-11 minutes.
